Who Do you Trust?

The Importance of Ethics, Integrity and Trust in a Business Career.

Creating a career with a solid foundation depends on learning how to assess the strengths of co-workers, supervisors and the company as a whole.  Dr. Kalbers’ presentation prepares students to select the individuals and organizations that will foster their career development.  An often overlooked aspect in career development is preparing our students to identify the policies and staff that can be trusted to support their futures.

Lawrence P. Kalbers, Ph.D., CPA, is a Professor of Accounting and holds the R. Chad Dreier Chair in Accounting Ethics at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. He currently serves as associate dean in the College of Business Administration.

His teaching interests are in the areas of accounting and business ethics, auditing, and financial reporting. Kalbers manages the Dreier Chair in Accounting Ethics Distinguished Speaker Series, which brings prominent executives and business leaders to campus each semester.
