Route 66 9/11 Tribute

Route 66 Classic Grill will be hosting a 9/11 Tribute again this year. September 11th, falls on a Wednesday and we will be hosting our weekly Bike Night (6-9PM). We felt it appropriate to stop the band (Rebel Heart) at 7PM and begin our Tribute. A Bagpiper will begin playing "Amazing Grace" and exit the restaurant via the patio door, marching to our stage. We will have the LA County Fire Department on hand to raise the American flag from the ladder truck, and Millena Hicks will take the stage and sing the "National Anthem." Once she is done, Bob Kellar will take the stage, speak for a few minutes and then introduce Mike Garcia. We felt that Mike would be a great speaker, considering he was one of the first fighter pilots to enter Iran, following the attacks on 9/11. When Mike is done speaking we will have another incredible singer,Tim May sing the Lee Greenwood song "God Bless The USA." After that song, the bagpiper will begin playing, and march back into the restaurant. We will wait 15 minutes and then the Rebel Heart will continue to play. We hope that you will join us on 9/11, to honor those who were lost in the 9/11 attacks. Active Duty Military, Law Enforcement, and Fire Department Personell will receive a Complementary Dinner during this Tribute...
