This Pulitzer Prize winning drama follows the daughter of a recently deceased mathematical professor in his fifties. Catherine, cared for her father through a lengthy mental illness. An ex-graduate student of his discovers a paradigm-shifting proof  in her father’s office. Can Catherine prove the proof's authorship? The play explores Catherine's fear of following in her father's footsteps, both mathematically and mentally and her desperate attempts to stay in control.
