Celebrate is an event series that celebrates cultures, customs and culinary wonders from around the world. Every first Friday from April to September, immerse yourself in a cultural celebration at the Canyon Country Community Center from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Come share in the music, dance, food, art and educational experiences from the diverse people we have all around us.

Throughout the night, Blue13 will share the culture and dance of India with energetic and theatrical modern dances from the Indian subcontinent, including interactive dances to share Indian dance with the audience. Then, enjoy musical demonstrations of Indian Classical Music by the Los Angeles International Music and Arts Academy. For a delicious taste of Indian cuisine, Tandoori Fusions, Currying Flavors and Chai Truck will be serving authentic Indian delicacies and fusion fare. Or, expand your understanding of Indian spices with a flavor bank by Hari Om India Market. Then, play chess, which originated in India, or practice yoga under a Raj tent yoga pavilion. Learn how to write in Hindi, or receive a henna tattoo and create your own henna design. Afterward, experience two of the most celebrated festivals in India: Holi and Diwali, respectively, by playing with colored powder or creating design patterns called rangoli using colored sand.
