29th Anniversary Hart of the West Pow Wow

Friends of Hart Park Mansion and Museum, the Fernandeño Tataviam Band of Mission Indians and the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation will present the 29th Anniversary Hart of the West Pow Wow and Craft Fair on Saturday, Sept. 30 and Sunday, Oct. 1.

The Hart of the West Pow Wow gives Native American families a chance to get together while giving spectators an opportunity to experience heritage and culture with native dances and hymns. This gathering is all about singing and dancing, with breaks to honor different people and talk about the culture.

The Pow Wow will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at William S. Hart Regional Park and Museum, 24151 Newhall Ave., Newhall CA 91321.

Southern Drum – Drum – Hale & Co

Northern Drum – Drum – Blue Star

Open gourd dancing, all drums and dancers welcome.

The event will offer vendors, food and Native American culture.
